These are answers to questions on DASTA's move to designate Pattaya and related sites as a special area for sustainable tourism administration. Why? For whom? and How? The answers did not come from DASTA alone, but from the coordination of cooperation from all sectors in the City of Pattaya, local administrative organizations and development related agencies to jointly solve the problems of Pattaya as a sustainable tourist destination and to augment income for local communities through a sustainable tourism administration. But in fact, the designation of Pattaya as a special area for sustainable tourism development can never be successful without a wholehearted support of residents of Pattaya.
