Meanwhile, the residents of Koh Mak have taken possession of a brand 52 foot catamaran, the 'Nemo Express' which is powered by a 700HP diesel engine. Scheduled services haven't yet started but it is envisaged that the catamaran will be initially used for day cruises from Koh Mak to outlying islands including Koh Chang. Then, due to it's stable dual-hull design, the ship will also be used during the off season when rough seas often make speedboat travel between Koh Mak and the mainland uncomfortable for passengers and potentially dangerous. The catamaran, which was designed and built in Pattaya, has been designed to seat up to 72 passengers and facilities onboard include a western toilet and showers. It is fully insured with life jackets provided for all passengers and safety features include CCTV which is monitored by the captain on 4 LCD screens in the cockpit.

Two new transport options for visitors to Koh Chang and Koh Mak have just been announced. A direct bus route from Suvarnabhumi Airport and new catamaran service, based on Koh Mak, which will provide day trips and all weather services around the archipelago and to Laem Ngop on the mainland.
The most comfortable way for affordable travel between Koh Chang and Bangkok airport is the brand new brand new Suvarnabhumi Airport <-> Koh Chang Express bus. This 40 seater, air-conditioned Scandia VIP coach departs from Bangkok Airport and Koh Chang island every day. Leaving from Suvarnabhumi Airport Transportation Terminal at 07:30, and departing from the Klong Son terminal on Koh Chang at 13:30. As this bus line is brand new there is currently only one departure daily, but additional buses will be added to the route in the coming months.

The Good Time Resort is located on the wonderful island Koh Mak. Koh Mak is the largest privately owned island in Thailand, supporting a population of 800 inhabitants, 3 fishing villages, 25 resorts, 3 diving schools and the most idyllic untouched scenery left within the Gulf of Siam. And no, there are no ATMs or 7-11s. There are no car ferries, no airports, no cement trucks running you off the roads, no sextrade from the nearby mainland.
All of the villas of Good Time Resort (Koh Mak Village) are built in the authentic Thai style and together form a beautiful ensemble. From the very first conception of the resort, importance was placed on privacy as well as to classy interior furnishings.

Welcome to one of the best nature resorts on Koh Kood island
Welcome to the official web site for the Koh Kood resort on Ko Kut. Here you will find descriptions of this wonderful botanical garden resort and it's nature surroundings; strictly unedited photo's of the lovely Japanese styled bungalows, the gardens and some of the sights around the island; and the best internet rates for both the bungalows as well as some of the special packages that are currently on offer.
Koh Kood Resort is one of the best nature resorts on Koh Kood island. The clarity of the sea water around Koh Kut easily matches that of better known islands like Phi-Phi or the similan islands and the lush vegetation and botanical garden at our resort will make you feel like you are staying (nearly) alone in nature. Koh Kood island has not been overrun by tourists like most of the other islands have been and it will probably be sometime before this can happen.

Welcome to The Makathanee Resort on Koh Mak
Koh Mak island and it's satellite islands currently hold as much as 24 resorts, hotels, bungalow parks and other types of accommodations where you can spend the night in different levels of comfort and luxury. However, none of these resorts, hotels or bungalow parks on or near ko mak will be able to claim that they can beat the location of the Makathanee resort with it's impressive beach that gently slopes into the clean and quiet sea with crystal clear water; the hundreds of coconut trees all along the beach, it's beautiful landscaped gardens with a perfect carpet of grass, a nature friendly private swimming pool with bubble seat, truly impressive panorama view beach bungalows, brand new Pool View hotel rooms, Family Suites and, for the romantically involved: the Honeymoon suites. The Makathanee resort is also one of only two hotel resorts on Koh Maak to have it's own concrete speedboat pier and fleet of speedboats which service Koh Mak, Koh wai and the other islands around them year round.

The Big Easy Resort is located on Koh Mak Island. Koh Mak is a naturally beautiful tropical island. Koh Mak is Thailand's preserved “treasure.'' It is an ideal destination for visitors who enjoy a tranquil environment, which is unspoiled by mass tourism. Koh Mak Island has approximately 10,000 palm trees and there’s a temple, three fishing community villages, rubber plantations, two uninhabited beaches, a primary school, a market, a health center, three diving schools, a few shops, two internet cafes, and thirteen small, unassuming resorts. I was told that there are only about 200 people who live permanently on Koh Mak. The rest of the people are temporary help from off the island.

The small island called Koh Mak has one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. At the Holiday Beach Resort the sea is blue and clear and the white sandy beach stretches for 7 kilometers and you won’t find many people on the beach. Koh Mak has not been discovered by the masses. The beach at the Holiday Beach Resort slopes gently into the sea ensuring that swimming from the shore is safe. Bring the children. The beach is ideal for children and us seniors. You will find coral reefs which are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. This is where the sea fan grows. Come and play with us by the sea. Sit in the shade on the green lawn. Enjoy the wonderful view. Order a cool drink. Bring your lover.

The Koh Mak Resort was the first resort on this wonderful island called Koh Mak. Koh Mak is only a short boat ride from Koh Chang or Hat Lek. There aren’t many people on Koh Mak. This is where people go to get away from the crowds. The Koh Mak Resort is located in the middle of a relatively large crescent shaped bay.
The shallow waters in this part of the ocean are gentle with no crashing waves. It’s perfect for children and those of us who just want to walk out into the ocean to cool off or maybe even go for a little swim. The sand is clean and the bay is big. The water is clear. There’s a view of a small island.
